NSC Bose Island

Historic ruins of Ross Island at Andaman and Nicobar Island, India; recently renamed as ‘Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’ Island which remained to be the Administrative Headquarters for about 85 years before Independence. Once ruled by British (1858 to 1941) as well as Japanese (1942 to 1945) and recaptured by British again, finally left abandoned.

At the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’ Island given six pic collages likely includes ruins of Bakery, Church, Barracks, Water treatment Plant, Press, and Commissioners House etc, besides that they have Secretariat, Hospital, Stores, Market, Tennis court, Cemetery, Swimming pool, Ballrooms, gardens etc. Now no human settlement or night stay is allowed there, except beautiful spotted deer’s and peacocks roam free under the administrative control of Indian Navy and small port called INS Jarawa.

The 3D light and sound show on the history of the Island is equally an important event to watch, left memorable impression. My take has its own limitation of light source, because I entered the Island almost after sunset, picture timing record is after 6.15 PM onward as on 21.10.2017
