Tall 'Morning Glory'

The binomial name of common ‘Morning Glory’ is ‘Ipomoea purpurea’ from ‘Convolvulaceae’ family also known as tall Morning Glory, which is an annual and popular winter climbing vine, grows up to 6 to 10 ft tall and die every season. The flower plant signifies love and affection, the leaves are heart shaped, alternate and stalked, while the blooms are funnel shaped, often comes out in auxiliary groups, colour includes purple, blue, white, magenta etc with diameter of 1 to 3 inches. The flowers are short lived and remain open from mid day to sunset range


Grow: In order to grow morning glory, be aware that its blooms at full sun exposure, also the plant requires fertile and good drained soil. The seedlings can be germinated from seeds taking care so that coat of the seeds broken and soaked before planting which supports root growing. The space between the plant should be at least 6 inches apart, on shifting to the bed or pots water thoroughly for settlement.
