Bold 'Celosia'

This ornamental winter plants Celosia taken from Greek word 'Keleos' means 'burning' having flame like durable flower heads. When blooming in large numbers the plumosa like blooms together resemble an ornamental grass of fire. Also known as Cockscomb, Wool flower and belongs to 'Amaranthaceae' family grown as annual with many shapes, colour and sizes. Every blooms is composed of numerous small flowers and signifies symbol of affection and singularity, common used in cut flower and medicinal purposes


Grow: Usually grown in pots or beds with rich potting soil under full sun, prefers nitrogen based fertiliser. Arrange seedlings from germination stock and maintain moist condition. It does grow easily with little care; however general purpose organic fertiliser on intervals is necessary for healthy plant growth to give large durable blooms. The attractive flower heads have plumes, colour includes red, purple, gold, pink, yellow etc
