It's garden Poinsettia, also known as Chrismas flower which is a small plant species from ‘Euphorbiaceae’ spurge family, although have colour grouping of bracts instead of flower petals, actually the leaves becomes flaming red, orange, pink, yellow, white or marvel appears as blooms. Euphorbia is genus name, which adds beauty to garden as ornamental plant and considered as symbol of purity. The name Poinsettia came after Joel Roberts Poinsett of US.
Grow: The young or matured grafted plants of Poinsettia is usually sourced from Nursery stock as per colour preference with different price tags during setting of winter season and re-potted with rich soil accordingly. As a permanent steady plant it requires full sun and darkness to allow growing under regulated watering so that bright colour bracts are created naturally to embrace beautiful attraction. Well known for green foliage and the changes colours, included in any landscape garden to enhance environmental richness, can be given desired shape. Use of mild organic fertiliser and preventive spray is required to protect from insects.
