As it is known as Mesembryanthemum, which is a winter perennial flowering plant also called Ice plant, Fig Marigold or Livingstone daisy. The name came from Greek word 'mesembria’ (mid-day) and ‘anthemon’ (flower) because it opens during sunrise, the leaves are succulent while belongs to ‘Aizoaceae' family. The flowers are single having different bright colours like white, pink, orange etc.

Grow: It's suitable as pot flower but can be placed on beds also, prefers full sun, required rich loose soil at moist condition and disfavour over watering. The height of the plant is within 3 ft, while the flower adds to beauty of the garden. Proper fertilisation and prevention is necessary for healthy plant growth, organic manure is preferred for smooth progress.

Scientific Classification: Kingdom - Plantae; Unranked – Angiosperms, Eudicots, Core eudicots; Order – Caryophyllales; Family – Aizoaceae; Subfamily: Mesembryanthemoideae; Genus – Mesembryanthemum (Source – Wikipedia)… for correlation
