The flower ‘Poppy’ is name in Latin or English and ‘Pepaver’ is the genus name, considered as the symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime. It also symbolizes beauty, magic and consolation, considered to be a garden ornamental plant. However, there is oriental ‘Opium Poppy’ (Pepaver somniferum) from which opium and poppy seeds are derived, where the pollens is dark blue.
