Striking “Brachyscome”

The combining form of Greek words ‘brachs’ (short) & ‘kome’ (hair) spells genus ‘Brachyscome’ also called ‘Swan River Daisy’ and ‘Blue Zephyr’ from Aster (Asteraceae) family, classified as annual herbaceous plant and perennial herbs, having fragrance and catches attention at the garden. More specifically the botanical nomenclature is Brachycome Iberidifolia , do love cool weather, leaves alternately arranged, compact bushy shape with grey leaves, the flower heads is ray & disc florets of either striking blue, lavender, pink, white, yellow colors, a good cut flower.


Grow: Mostly preferred as ground cover of beds and subscribed to full sun exposure at matured and prepared soil with reasonable drainage. Germinated seedlings are showed beginning winter onset and allow growing taking care of vegetable growth and the shape. Free flowing daisy like flowers brings eye catching attraction to a garden; even grow at pots and containers.
